RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) A Russellville man has been arrested for the shooting death of his wife.
Police say officers investigating reports of a shooting found the woman with a gunshot wound to the stomach on Thursday and that she died later at a hospital.
The woman’s name has not been released.
The woman’s husband is now jailed after a judge found there is probable cause to hold him for first-degree murder. Court records do not show that formal charges have been filed.
Police say the couple was apparently arguing when the woman was shot.
