A golfer from Izard County High School has claimed a state championship. Mikayla Kish won the Class 1A State Tournament Monday held at Mountain Ranch at Shirley. Kish shot a 93 to finish four strokes ahead of the second place golfer.
Her victory earns her a spot in the overall state finals next month at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock.
Lead Hill had two golfers, Hanah Clary and Kelis Huebner, earn all-state honors.
