The Mountain Home High School tennis teams were able to sweep Marion to finish the regular season Thursday at the Mountain Home Athletic Club.
The Bomber boys defeated the Patriots 7-1. Individually for Mountain Home, Billy Beck won his matches 8-3 and 8-0, and Jack Arp picked up wins of 8-1 and 8-3. In doubles play, Sam Arp and C.J. Blackmon had victories of 8-5 and 8-0, and Dylan Kimbriel and Mica Justman split their matches 8-3 and 4-8. The Bombers head to postseason at 7-4-2 on the year and 4-4-1 in the 6A-East.
Mountain Home’s girls were able to beat Marion 6-2. In singles competition, Emily Heide split two matches 6-8 and 8-0, and Meagan Beck also had a split with scores of 8-1 and 4-8. On the doubles side, Cara Conner and Maddy Lewis had two wins 8-0 and 8-3, and Taylor Hasselwander and Sydney Czantskowski won both matches 8-4. The Lady Bombers improve to 10-0-2 on the season and 8-0 in the 6A-East.
In junior varsity action, Grahm Davidson won his match 8-1, Elizabeth Lewis had an 8-4 win, and Lauren Chetnik picked up an 8-2 victory.
Mountain Home will travel to Searcy on Wednesday to begin play in the 6A-East Conference Tournament.
