Ingram Publishing/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) — A Maryland man has been charged with allegedly attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS to kill a U.S. military member.

Nelash Mohamed Das, 24, voiced support for ISIS and the terror attacks in Paris, France, and San Bernardino, California, using his social media accounts from 2015 to 2016, according to court documents. He is a Bangladesh citizen and a legal permanent resident of the U.S. living in Maryland, admitted when he was about 4 years old in 1995, court documents said.

Das expressed a desire to kill a specific military member in Prince George’s County, the documents revealed, and consulted with an undercover individual with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who made Das believe an ISIS contact would pay $80,000 in exchange for the attack.

The court documents stated that Das allegedly told the individual he was “100 percent” committed to an attack, adding, “That’s like my goal in life.”

He was taken into custody on Sept. 30 by FBI agents at the location where Das believed he and the FBI informant would conduct an attack, according to court documents.
