LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) – Democratic Senate hopeful Conner Eldridge says it’s “horrifying” Republican Sen. John Boozman won’t drop his support for Donald Trump following the release of a 2005 tape featuring lewd comments by the presidential nominee about women.

Boozman and other top Republicans in the state showed no sign Monday of dropping their support for Trump despite the tape featuring Trump bragging about how his fame allowed him to “do anything” to women. Republican Sen. Tom Cotton didn’t withdraw his support of Trump, saying the nominee should focus on issues that matter to Americans. Rep. Steve Womack, who represents northwest Arkansas, said in a debate he’ll support the nominee.

Eldridge called on Boozman to drop his support of Trump. Boozman’s campaign said it was “laughable” for Eldridge to dictate what the lawmaker does.
