Southwest Missouri gets 4 years for explosives found in home

A southwestern Missouri man has been ordered to spend four years in prison after admitting in court that he had homemade explosives in his home.
KOLR-TV reports that 53-year-old William Rush was sentenced earlier this month after pleading guilty to two counts of unlawful possession of an explosive weapon.
Court documents alleged that a fire marshal with the Springfield Fire Department went to Rush's home in March after a witness reported seeing improvised explosive devices inside.
The statement said that during a search of the home, an improvised explosive device was found in plain view in the living room. Authorities said another device was found in the kitchen, along with two containers of gunpowder found in Rush's bedroom.
