Burke/Triolo Productions/Thinkstock Songwriter Curly Putnam, who had a hand in writing both George Jones’ “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and Tammy Wynette’s “D-I-V-O-R-C-E,” passed away Sunday in Nashville at the age of 85.

Vince GillAshley MonroeEmmylou Harris and Rodney Crowell raised more than $50,000 for Music Health Alliance with a concert Saturday on the outskirts of Nashville in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee.

Josh Hoge, the composer of Chris Young’s hits “I’m Comin’ Over” and “Think of You,” took home the Songwriter of the Year title at Sunday’s SESAC Nashville Music Awards. Dierks Bentley’s “Somewhere on a Beach” was Song of the Year.

Chris Stapleton won both International Album of the Year for Traveller and International Song of the Year for “Tennessee Whiskey” at Sunday’s 10th Annual British Country Music Awards in London.
