Dolly Parton Paves the Way for New Christmas Movie by Helping Light Rockefeller Center Tree

ABC/Image Group LADolly Parton will sing on this year’s Christmas in Rockefeller Center special, as the lighting of the world’s most famous holiday tree paves the way for the premiere of the superstar’s sequel to last year’s successful Coat of Many Colors TV movie.

Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood will join the entertainment icon at the 84th annual tradition, along with Tony Bennett, Neil Diamond, Josh Groban, Tori Kelly, Sarah McLachlan, the Rockettes and more. Today show anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Hoda Kotb will host.

The music special starts at 8 p.m. ET Wednesday, November 30 on NBC, with some stations starting an hour earlier at 7 p.m. Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors:  Circle of Love follows.
