Texas native named president at Lyon College in Arkansas

     (AP) – A senior adviser at a liberal arts college in Virginia

has been named the new president at Lyon College in northeastern Arkansas.

     The college announced Monday the hiring of Joey King as the school’s next

president. King will take over next summer for Donald Weatherman, who is

retiring.

     King is a native of Texas and currently works as a senior adviser to the

president at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia. He holds a doctorate

degree in human-computer interaction from the University of Washington and a

bachelor’s degree in computer science and experimental psychology from

Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

     Lyon College is located in Batesville, about 80 miles northeast of Little

Rock.
