ABC/ Ida Mae AstuteThough there’s no official comment, sources close to Garth Brooks say rumors that he might perform at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration are false, according to Variety.

Earlier this month, TMZ started the speculation that the CMA Entertainer of the Year could be part of the program on January 20 by asking him if he’d appear. Garth noted he hadn’t been asked, before adding, “It’s always about serving. It’s what you do.”

So far, Garth’s camp has not weighed in on the matter. For the record, the Oklahoma native never voiced his support for either candidate during the election cycle.
