ABC/Image Group LANewcomer Craig Campbell not only has a top-30 hit with “Outskirts of Heaven,” he also has a pretty impressive new duet partner — actress Scarlett Johannsson. The two had the chance to team up to cover Nancy Sinatra’s classic, “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’,” during a recent holiday tour to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the USO.
“I am so honored that General [Joseph F.] Dunford invited me on this incredibly important tour,” Craig says of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. “It really means a lot to have the opportunity to give back to those who give so much and to bring a little piece of home to them during the holidays.”
Actor Chris Evans, NBA star Ray Allen and others were also along for the six-day, four-country trek that took them to Turkey, Qatar, Afghanistan and Germany.
