Police: Driver dies in Arkansas crash, natural gas fire

     (AP) – Police say a driver who struck a natural gas main in

the Washington County city of Farmington, sparking a large fire, died in the

accident.

     The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports police and fire agencies responded to

the fire which started around 3:45 p.m. Friday. Black Hills Energy spokesman

Rich Davis says the fire started shortly after the driver hit the gas main.

     The identity of the driver hasn’t been released, and an investigation is

ongoing.

     An evacuation order was lifted by Saturday morning and the street was

reopened.
