Mountain Home begins road stand Tuesday at Vilonia

The Mountain Home High School basketball teams are set to begin a two-game road stand Tuesday. The Bombers and Lady Bombers continue district play at Vilonia.



Mountain Home’s girls and the Lady Eagles are part of a three-way tie with Beebe for second place in the 6A/5A-2 as each has a district record of 5-2. The Lady Bombers are currently 12-9 on the season after falling to Batesville on Friday. Vilonia is 14-6 with a win over Morrilton. Mountain Home defeated the Lady Eagles 48-42 in their previous meeting on January 7th.



Oddly enough, Mountain Home, Vilonia and Beebe are tied for third in the boys’ standings of the 6A/5A-2 with each team currently at 4-3 in the district. The Bombers improved to 8-12 overall after beating up on Batesville four nights back. The Eagles are 11-8 with a five-point victory over Morrilton. In the previous matchup three and a half weeks ago, Mountain Home lost to Vilonia 72-57.



The junior varsity games tip off at five p.m. The varsity contests begin around 6:00 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.



Elsewhere in the 6A/5A-2, Batesville hosts Morrilton, and Searcy entertains Beebe.
