Police investigate homicide in Independence

      (AP) – Police are investigating a homicide in the Kansas City
suburb of Independence.
      KSHB-TV reports that the victim was found dead inside an apartment Monday
morning. Police say a person of interest is in custody.
      The name of the victim wasn't immediately released. Police say the
investigation is ongoing.
