The Bombers were able to hold off Star City for a 52-45 win. The Bulldogs scored the first bucket of the game but Mountain Home got the next two and never trailed again. Mountain Home built an 11 point lead in the first half but only led by four at the break. In the second half, the Bombers had several double digit leads but never could deliver the knock out punch and Star City managed to hang around until the final minute.

Garrett Dietsche pace the Bombers with 22 points as they improve to 9-13.

Star City’s Dee Williams also had 22 points as they fall to 5-18 on the season.

In the girl’s game, Star City’s quickness was too much for Mountain Home as they defeated the Lady Bombers 53-42. The Lady Bulldogs never trailed, leading by 10 at halftime and 15 after three quarters.

The Lady Bulldogs’ Sarajane Linsey showed why several colleges are recruiting her as she finished with 27 points and 11 rebounds. The Star City girls, who are ranked number two in class 4A, improve to 24-2 on the season.

Mountain Home falls to 12-11. Maly Tabor led the scoring with 12 points.
