Basketball and swimming make up the local Wednesday schedule.
The Mountain Home High School swim teams will begin the postseason as they travel to Bentonville. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will take part in the 7A/6A-West Conference Meet. Action gets underway at five p.m.
Mountain Home’s freshmen girls’ basketball team will spend the afternoon at Jonesboro High School as they compete in the 6A-East Conference Tournament. The Junior Lady Bombers face Marion at 3:30.
On the high school level, a few area teams are looking to advance to the championship games of the 1A-1 East Conference Tournament as they play at North Arkansas College’s Pioneer Pavilion. The girls’ game tips off at 6:00 between St. Joe and Western Grove, and the boys’ contest at 7:15 will match up Western Grove with Jasper.
In addition, a preseason parent meeting is set for Wednesday for the Mountain Home seventh grade track program. The meeting will be held at 5:15 at Pinkston Middle School.
