Thursday’s schedule includes basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and track.

The Mountain Home High School softball team is set to begin its 2017 campaign. The Lady Bombers will be on the road as they meet Highland.
Mountain Home is coming off a season in which they finished with a record of 16-15. The Lady Bombers ended last year in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A State Tournament with a loss to Sheridan.
The varsity game at Ash Flat Ball Park begins at 4:30 followed by the junior varsity contest.

Mountain Home’s freshmen baseball team will be at the Bombers’ new home venue for a doubleheader with Salem. The first game begins at 4:30 at Pitts Field at McClain Park.

The Mountain Home High School soccer teams will play their regular season openers at Bomber Stadium as they welcome Green Forest to the Twin Lakes Area.
The Lady Bombers finished 2016 with a mark of 10-10-1. Mountain Home was eliminated by El Dorado in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A State Tournament.
The Bomber boys were 13-4-3 a year ago. They also lost in the state quarterfinals at the hands of Greenwood, but not before they finished the regular season as 7A/6A-East conference champions. Mountain Home head coach Bryan Mattox says this year will be another where he has a lot of athletes participating.

The girls’ game kicks off at 5:00 followed by the boys’ contest.

The Branson High School girls’ basketball team will be at Glendale High School in Springfield looking to clinch a state tournament bid. The Lady Pirates will compete for the championship of the Class 5, District 11 Tournament against Springfield Kickapoo. Tip-off is slated for 6:00.

The Mountain Home seventh grade track team will be at home for a practice meet. Action gets underway at 3:30.
