The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently announced they have changed the closure of Highway 178 from Thursday to Friday because preparations could not be made due to severe weather in the area Wednesday.
Both lanes of U.S. Highway 178 over Bull Shoals Dam will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, in order to remove equipment on the dam.
The corps, who has coordinated this closure with local emergency and law enforcement agencies, regrets any inconvenience this may cause. Motorists traveling in the area should expect delays, obey flagmen and operate cautiously around equipment and work crews.
