Mize says February is generally a slower time of the year for sales and could be the reason for the decline.
Mountain Home City Treasurer Deborah Cotter says the city also saw a decrease in sales tax revenue for the month over last February and an increase of approximately 1.9 percent for the first four months of 2017.
