
The massive rainfall from across both southern Missouri and northern Arkansas is making its way to the area lakes. Saturday evening as U.S. Army Corps of Engineers personnel continue to closely monitor the situation, Mark Case, Deputy Operations Project Manager, says lake levels have been rising about a half a foot an hour.

Case says there is a great deal of water in the upper basin headed to Bull Shoals and Lake Norfork.

Case says both Beaver and Table Rock are within a few feet of their flood pools and are releasing water that will reach Bull Shoals, which had over 20 feet remaining in its storage capacity Saturday evening.
As the lake levels continue fluctuating, Case encourages use of the Corps Website for those interesting in keeping an watchful eye on the developments.

In flooding situations like this, hydrologists and engineers at the Corps’ Little Rock office are monitoring inflow, rain, future forecasts, lake levels and discharges in a 24-hour command approach. Utilizing this information determines if and when water releases from the area dams are made.
