Recent floods have deposited limbs, leaves, and muck all over the river access sites, roads, and trails near the Buffalo National River. The launches and crossings are still being evaluated as the water recedes. Repairs of these areas will be prioritized based on equipment and availability of labor.Lost Valley is open to the public, but there are several areas along the lower half of the trail with damage. There is also very minor damage at the upper end. The trail is currently open, but the park will need to schedule a temporary closure for repairs when the time and labor are available. Upper District crews are repairing roads, replacing culverts and assisting Newton County in repairing Mill Creek crossing on the Pruitt-Yardell road.
