An accident involving two vehicles in Fulton County Saturday morning has taken the life of 56-year-old Brent Godwin of Mammoth Spring and injured a Thayer man. According to a report from Arkansas State Trooper Corporal Jackie Stinnett, Godwin was traveling southbound on Highway 63 behind 71-year-old W.D. Russell when he attempted to pass Russell in a no passing zone. Russell attempted to make a left hand turn and was struck by Godwin.Although Russell was injured there is no information suggesting he was transported to a hospital.
Conditions were clear and the road dry at the time of the 10:20 accident.
