Another Twin Lakes Area city will begin hosting a Memorial Day Ceremony this year. Walnut Hill Cemetery will be the site for the inaugural Cotter Memorial Day Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday evening at six.
The city of Cotter will be assisted with the ceremony by the Smith-Johnson VFW Post 5742 and the Joe P. Joslin, Jr. American Legion Post 23. North Central Arkansas Veterans Council President Linda Reed will represent the American Legion to open the ceremony. Cotter Mayor Peggy Hammack says everyone involved is looking forward to bringing this potential Memorial Day tradition to the city.
