2 bodies recovered from Branson flood; 1 remains missing

The floods that hit Branson this weekend led to the deaths of two Nashville, Arkansas, residents, and a third is missing. According to Springfield television station KYTV, two bodies were found, and rescue personnel continue to search for the driver of the vehicle.

A total of five individuals were in a car when it got swept away near Fall Creek Road and Jupiter Way, but two of them were able to escape. Branson Police and fire crews found the body of 37-year-old Antonio Finley around two a.m. Sunday along Fall Creek Road near Cooper Creek Resort, and they were assisted by the Western Taney County Fire Protection District when they found the body of 17-year-old Kaliea Munn nearly six hours later. The driver, 31-year-old Whitney McDonald, is still missing.

Branson was under a flash flood emergency during the incident. The city received more than five inches of rain.
