A fire engulfed the Gainesville Volunteer Fire Department building early Tuesday morning exactly one month after it was gutted by floodwaters. According to the Ozark County Times’ Facebook page, the building at Highway 160 and Highway 5 North became fully envolved around two a.m., and it appears unlikely anything inside can be saved including the department’s equipment and vehicles. The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshall.
