City of Bull Shoals seeking applicants for mayor

The City of Bull Shoals is seeking resumes for the vacant position of mayor.

The vacancy resulted earlier this week when former Mayor David Hotchkiss resigned, posting a letter of notification on the City of Bull Shoals’ website. City ordinances say the recorder/treasurer will take the mayor’s position, pro-tem.

According to a notice from Mayor Pro-tem Kim Williams, all applicants for the mayor’s position must be 18 years or older, be a registered voter, and reside within the city limits of Bull Shoals. Those interested in the position, should submit a resume to Bull Shoals City Hall. The deadline to submit resumes is the afternoon of June 19 at 3.

Resumes submitted will be reviewed by the city council at its workshop on Monday,June 19 at 6:30 p.m.

All applicants must be present at the regularly scheduled city council meeting on June 29 at 6:30 p.m. for any questions the council may have. The decision on selecting the new mayor is expected to be made at that time.
