Bull Shoals-White River State Park to host a guided kayak trip

Bull Shoals-White River State Park host an overnight kayaking adventure next weekend. Park interpreters and participants will depart from the Bull Shoals-White River Trout Dock at noon Saturday to embark on the adventure.Participants will float down to the White Hole access, where they will set up camp and learn basic camping skills.

Participants will leave camp early the next morning and end the 11 mile float at the Wildcat Shoals access at approximately noon. The total float time may vary depending on the water level.

The float is designed for everyone regardless of kayaking experience. Before departure, a certified kayak will provide basic kayaking instruction. During the float, guides will discuss the wildlife, plants and history of the White River.

The cost for the guided float is $85 per person. Kayak rentals will be available for $40 and camping gear rentals will be available for $15.

All of the gear will be shuttled to the camping site at White Hole access by a support vehicle. Participants will be shuttled back from Wildcat Shoals access by park staff.
