A Mountain Home youth, 16-year-old Dustin Brandenburg, was  injured Saturday after he wrecked his motorcycle on Old Arkana Road. He was airlifted to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where a spokesperson says he’s listed in critical condition.

According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call at 6:50 Saturday evening. When they arrived on scene they found Bradenburg unresponsive and lying in a ditch.

Witnesses say he was going around a corner at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the motorcycle and drove into a ditch, possibly hitting a small boulder. He was ejected and the motorcycle flipped several times.

Brandenburg was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
