(AP) _ The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says a man who had been in jail custody has died at a Little Rock hospital.Authorities say 36-year-old Kenneth Lawrence was brought to the jail on June 8th on a probation violation and a misdemeanor charge of failure to pay a fine. The sheriff’s office says on June 9th, a deputy saw that Lawrence was “in distress,” so he was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Cody Burk says Lawrence died Monday. He says an autopsy will be conducted to determine Lawrence’s cause of death and that an internal investigation is underway.
