A weather front moving through the Twin Lakes area Friday morning without any storm warnings or watches brought damage to the southern part of Baxter County, along with power outages for some North Arkansas Electric Cooperative customers in the Buford and Norfork areas.

Baxter County Office of Emergency Services Director Jim Sierzchula says no damage from the weather had been reported to his office.

However, Buford area resident Marian O’Leary says a number of trees were down in the yard of her residence after the weather front moved through.

NAEC crews began responding to outages shortly after 8:30 Friday morning as strong thunderstorms move across the service territory. As of 8:35 Friday morning, 1,300 members were without service. Most outages were in the co-op’s Mountain Home district.

At 1:21 Friday afternoon, NAEC advised service had been restored to all members with the exception of one near Calico Rock.
