Cotter School Board meets in Friday night special session

For the third consecutive evening, the Cotter School Board will meet in a special session Friday evening as work continues to secure a new superintendent. The Friday evening meeting will be held at 7.

Board president Reneta Dewey says the board received 31 applications for the vacant position. Six preliminary interviews have been held. The purpose of the Friday evening special session is to conduct a second interview of one of the finalists.

Cotter Schools are searching for a new superintendent with the resignation of Chad Harp who has accepted the position of principal at Oark K-12 School in the Jasper School District.
