Bull Shoals Recorder/Treasurer resigns

Bull Shoals Recorder/Treasurer Kim Williams has submitted a letter of resignation to Mayor David Nixon. Mayor Nixon says he received Williams’ letter on Wednesday addressed to him, the city council and the citizens of Bull Shoals. The resignation is effective immediately.The city’s new mayor of just over a week says Williams did not cite a reason for her resignation in her letter.

Williams has served the city as its recorder/treasurer on two separate occasions. During her service, she has filled the role of mayor pro tem twice as the city searched each time for a new leader.

Mayor Nixon says city officials are exploring options to fill the vacancy.
