A death at a Lakeview residence is being investigated by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office. According to Sheriff John Montgomery, 76-year-old Rita Kabella was found dead Sunday evening at the residence on Hickory Flats Road.
Sheriff’s dispatch received a report after seven p.m. of a woman bleeding inside the residence after she had fallen. Kabella was found to be deceased by the time emergency personnel arrived. Kabella’s husband was at the residence with her.
The cause of the death was not immediately apparent. Kabella’s body is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock to determine the cause and manner of death. The case remains open pending autopsy results and further investigation.
