The Mruk Family Education Center on Aging is celebrating the recent one-year anniversary of one of its programs. Rock Steady Boxing Mountain Home! is hosting an open gym day Friday afternoon from three to five at its gym in the Mountain Home Athletic Club on Coley Drive.
Mruk Family Education Center on Aging Coordinator and Rock Steady Boxing Coach Diahanne VanGulick was a recent guest of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and she says the program is instrumental in helping Parkinson’s patients fight back against the disease.

VanGulick adds during Friday’s open gym day, visitors will have an opportunity to talk to the fighters, coaches and volunteers and learn more about the program.
