Autopsy: 2 teens died from accidental drowning in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Two teenagers whose bodies were found in the Moreau River died from drowning.Jefferson City police said Friday no foul play is suspected in the deaths of 18-year-old Jacob Foster and 17-year-old Dantonio McClain. Police say an autopsy found the two died from accidental drowning.

The two were reported missing Wednesday after some of their belongings and a car they apparently used were found at the Algoa Road bridge on the river. Their bodies were found Thursday.

Police say detectives will continue to investigate and toxicology results are expected within 8-12 weeks.

Foster would have been a senior at Jefferson City High School this fall. McClain had attended Jefferson City public schools but was currently living in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
