(AP) – Several people have been rescued after being stuck for
about an hour on an Arkansas roller coaster. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports the X-Coaster ride at Magic Springs
Theme and Water Park in Hot Springs stopped about 2:30 p.m. Monday and the
riders were rescued after maintenance workers checked the ride’s safety system.

No injuries are reported.

Officials with the theme park didn’t immediately return a phone call for
comment about how high the people were off the ground or what may have caused
the ride to stop.

In 2007, two of the X-Coaster’s cars were in a loop when a power outage
occurred, bringing the ride to stop and leaving about a dozen people upside
down, 150 feet in the air, for about 30 minutes before being rescued.
