Chris Gladney of Mountain Home, a registered sex offender, has had a number of problems staying in compliance with reporting requirements imposed on him as a sex offender, and was back in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday to deal with yet another request to revoke his probation.Gladney’s latest failure to register conviction came October 20th last year when he was put on probation for three years.

A petition to revoke that sentence was filed August 10th. One of the violations alleged was Gladney’s avoidance of all contact with probation officers. In court on Thursday, Gladney entered a not guilty plea to the allegations.

The 57-year-old Gladney was initially required to register after being convicted of two counts of sexual indecency with a child in late June 2010 and sentenced to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. He was initially evaluated as a sex offender likely to reoffend.

Gladney was originally charged with committing sexual acts in public and in front of children on two separate occasions.

It is unclear from court records, whether Gladney maintains a specific residence in Baxter County. At one point he was listed as homeless.

Gladney, who has been in the Baxter County Detention Center since August 25th, was ordered to reappear in court September 7th.
