Plea change nets 5 years probation

Thomas Henriksen, Jr. of Mountain Home changed his plea to guilty on drug-related charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to five years probation.The charges against the 28-year-old Henriksen stemmed from a complaint received by Mountain Home Police on March 11th of a domestic disturbance at a residence along McClure Lane.

According to the probable cause affidavit in the case, when police arrived to investigate the complaint, Henriksen was arrested after he repeatedly interfered and interrupted officers conducting the investigation.

When officers searched Henriksen they reported finding a bag containing 1.6 grams of a white crystalline substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine. They also located a number of Alprazolam pills.

The state dismissed a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Henriksen was sentenced under provisions of Act 346, meaning that if he stays out of trouble during his probation period, he can apply to the court to have his record sealed.
