Three high school volleyball teams were in Hoxie on Monday for the opening round of the Class 3A State Tournament.
Cotter watched its season come to an end after a straight set loss. The Lady Warriors fell to Harding Academy by scores of 25-22, 25-14 and 25-13.
Flippin was also one and done in the tournament. The Lady Bobcats lost in straight sets after Mayflower posted scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-13.
Valley Springs was able to advance to the second round following a four-set match. The Lady Tigers eliminated Episcopal Collegiate 26-24, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-18.
