
Football, volleyball and basketball make up the local Thursday schedule.
Bergman’s high school volleyball team is one step closer to playing for a state championship. The Lady Panthers will be in Hoxie for the semifinals of the Class 3A State Tournament as they meet the host Lady Mustangs at 1 p.m.
In high school basketball, Timbo travels to South Side-Bee Branch, and Rural Special hosts Bergman.
The Jasper Junior High Tournament will continue on Thursday. In girls’ action, Omaha faces Western Grove at 4:30, and the host Junior Lady Pirates take on Eureka Springs at 6:50. On the boys’ side, Western Grove will play the winner of Wednesday’s game between Mount Judea and Kingston at 5:40, and Cotter will be paired with Jasper at 8:00.
Mountain Home’s freshmen football squad will be in Fort Smith as they are set to meet Trinity Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30.
In other junior high football, Yellville-Summit entertains Clinton, Salem is home against Melbourne, Marshall makes the trip to Mountain View, and Harrison heads to Alma.
