The Boone County Sheriffs Department, along with the Arkansas State Probation and Parole Office, conducted a sweep of its registered sex offenders within the county Wednesday. According to Boone County Sheriff Mike Moore, as a result officers made four arrests.The sweep consisted of checking over a 100 people residing in Boone County to ensure they are in compliance with state laws applicable to those convicted of sex crimes.
Two of the arrests involved charges relating to non-compliance address changes. A felony warrant arrest and a possession of a controlled substance arrest were also made.
