Mountain Home Police have arrested a Gassville woman, 24-year-old Alexandra Neel, at a local convenience store where she appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the responding officer noted Neel was unable to control erratic movements and appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine.
As the officer spoke with Neel about her behavior, she explained she did have a small amount of methamphetamine in her purse inside the car she was driving. She allowed the officer to retrieve the drug from her purse. He also located a glass smoking pipe with narcotic residue that had been used for smoking methamphetamine.
Neel has been charged with felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia for the use of ingestion of methamphetamine.
Online records with the Baxter County Detention Center indicate Neel was booked into the jail Thursday evening and released less than two hours later after posting a $2,500 bond.
She is set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court later this month.
