The Petco Foundation was recently awarded a $5,000 grant to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas. According to Shelter Manager Carolyn Carter, the grant will allow more animals to be helped, including preparing animals for adoption and with spaying and neutering. The grant will also be used towards purchasing equipment and supplies to repair and upgrade the shelter.
The Humane Society of North Central Arkansas is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization incorporated in Arkansas. The purpose and policy of the society is to protect, care for, and reduce the population of neglected, abandoned, homeless, unwanted, and/or abused animals within Baxter County, with particular emphasis placed on canine and feline populations.
