Wildlife management area turkey hunt permits may still be available to Arkansas hunters who missed the regular drawing. All leftover permits from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will be available on a first-come, first-served online sale at agfc.com beginning Monday morning at 8:00.

In years past, several unclaimed permits have been left for sale after the deadline passed for successful applicants to pass the processing fee for their permits. With the new system, applicants must pay the up-front application fee at half the price of the previous fee, and all applicants drawing automatically will get their permits without any additional fees. The change was made to streamline the permit process and increase the likelihood of taking hunters who are serious about using the opportunity to hunt.

Each leftover permit will require a five-dollar processing fee, and each hunter may purchase one permit for each of the remaining wildlife management area permit hunts. There is no limit to the amount of permits a hunter can buy, but several hunts are on the same days. Applicants will need to pay attention to the hunt dates and locations before purchasing.
