Disturbance call leads to MH woman being arrested on drug charges

A Mountain Home woman, 26-year-old Bethani Jean Beyer, was arrested Sunday on drug charges after Sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance call on Baxter County Road 632. According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, Beyer remains in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.

At approximately 3:14 Sunday afternoon, the Sheriff’s Office was notified a verbal altercation was taking place between two people in two separate vehicles. Deputies encountered one of the vehicles coming toward them on Baxter County Road 57 and noted it was speeding in excess of the posted limit. It was later determined Beyer was the driver.

She stated she didn’t have a driver’s license, nor could she produce proof of liability insurance on the vehicle. Deputies learned Beyer was driving with a suspended driver’s license. She was taken into custody and, during a search, deputies found approximately two grams of methamphetamine, tramadol, and drug paraphernalia.

Beyer faces felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver )(methamphetamine), possession of a schedule IV controlled substance (tramadol) and possession of drug paraphernalia. She also face other misdemeanor charges.

Beyer is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
