
The Mountain Home High School softball team had a rough outing as they were swept in a varsity doubleheader at Vilonia.
The Lady Bombers were edged out by the Lady Eagles 13-11 in the opener. Addison Yates led Mountain Home with three hits and two RBIs; Maly Tabor provided two hits, scored two runs and drove in two more; Bella Bevel had two hits, two runs and an RBI; Marcie Cudworth finished with two hits and two RBIs; Sydnie Zimmer ended up with two hits, a run and an RBI; and Grace Gilbert added a hit, scored a run and drove in two more.
The Lady Bombers later lost to Vilonia 11-1. Mountain Home was led by Courtney Green with two singles, and Tabor added a triple and drove in Cudworth.
The Lady Bombers fall to 4-4 on the season and 1-3 in the 6A/5A-2, and their next game will be Friday at Harrison when they take on Batesville in the Ozark Softball Classic.
