
A Gassville man, under investigation in an unrelated theft incident, was arrested on drug charges Tuesday after Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputies paid a visit to his home. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says 24-year-old Klayton Michael Killian was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond and released later that day.According to Montgomery, the deputies went to Killian’s residence, located at 2423 Tucker Cemetery Road in rural Mountain Home, to investigate an unrelated theft case where he is a suspect. Killian is known to be on probation with the Arkansas Department of Community Correction and has a warrantless search waiver on file.
A search of the property was conducted and a set of reloading scales containing a white powder residue was found. The substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Numerous other items were also found containing methamphetamine residue as well as several used smoking devices containing marijuana residue.
Killian faces two felony charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and a single felony count of possession of drug paraphernalia used for delivery of methamphetamine.
He is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court.
