A Baxter County woman, 21-year-old Destiny Reasons of Mountain Home, and an Ozark County man, 22-year-old Jarred Coddington of Thornfield, are facing a combined 14 felony drug charges following their arrests Wednesday.
According to the probable cause affidavit, officers from the Mountain Home Police Department and the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force arranged a controlled buy of methamphetamine from Coddington in early January.
On Monday, officers were contacted by a confidential informant advising arrangements had been made to purchase one 8-ball or 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from Coddington, with the transaction occurring at a residence along Glenstone in Mountain Home. The residence is within 1,000 feet of a church.
On Wednesday, officers served a search warrant at the Glenstone residence. Coddington was not present at the time, but was located in Gassville, where he was taken into custody. A clear plastic bag with approximately one gram of a crystalline substance was located in his pant pocket.
In searching the residence, officers located Reasons in a bedroom. They also found a quantity of methamphetamine, smoking pipes with narcotic residue, multiple sets of digital scales with residue, baggies and substances used to “cut” the drug.
The two face felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, methamphetamine; proximity to certain facilities; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Coddington is also charged with seven additional felony offenses related to the illegal drug for a combined total of 10 counts.
His bond was set at $25,000, while Reasons’ was set at $10,000. Both are set to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court in April.
