CEO Tim Shryack points out features of the new facility to U.S. Senator Roy Blunt
United States Senator Roy Blunt visited the unveiling of the new and improved Missouri Ozarks Community Health Center (MOCH) in Gainesville Tuesday. The new facility replaces the older building located at 201 South Elm Street. The center is a private, federally funded non-profit organization. Gainesville is a satellite location of the main clinic located in Ava. Other clinics are located in Mansfield and Cabool. Services provided include behavioral health, dental services, medical services and pharmacy services.
Senator Blunt and a bipartisan group of other senators founded the community health center (CHC) caucus calling on senate leadership to extend funding for the medical providers. The funding expired in September, 2017.

According to Blunt, the main purpose of the caucus was to ensure this type of healthcare is understood.

Blunt says when he started representing Ozark County in congress, 21 years ago, there were no CHC facilities in southwest Missouri. He says there are now more than a dozen locations.
A number of facilities now offer behavioral health services. While speaking at the new facility, he elaborated on behavioral health saying sometimes physical health issues are directly attributable to behavioral health issues. Both can be diagnosed and treated at a CHC.
The new facility is scheduled to open April 9th with an open house scheduled for April 18th at 9:00 in the morning.
The public is invited to attend.
