A Mountain Home man was arrested Friday after an alleged domestic incident at a local motel. According to the Mountain Home Police Department, 31-year-old Weston Robertson was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on counts of third-degree domestic battery, criminal mischief, refusal to submit to arrest and violation of an order of protection. His bond is set at $1,535.
Mountain Home Police Sergeant Jonathan Griffin says in the arrest afffidavit he received a report just after 9:00 Friday evening of a domestic disturbance at the motel. When he entered the room, he allegedly observed a female victim with a black and bruised left eye. She reportedly told Sergeant Griffin her offender, identified as Robertson, had assaulted her earlier that evening, and she had a valid order of protection against him in Marion County. The victim said she then locked her door, and Robertson broke the window trying to get in the room. She informed the officer Robertson he was staying in another room in the motel.
Sergeant Griffin says he then tried to make contact with Robertson in his room, but Robertson reportedly refused to answer the door. Sergeant Griffin was then given a room key by an employee, but the door was barricaded with a chair. The officer eventually entered the room and advised Robertson he was under arrest. Robertson allegedly refused to place his hands behind his back, and Sergeant Griffin deployed his taser to take Robertson into custody.
Robertson is scheduled to appear in Baxter County Circuit Court next month.
